Annai Tamil Academy adhere to a “use it or lose it” policy that requires students to take their trimester exams as scheduled. Missed exams will not be rescheduled, and no scores will be awarded due to logistical and operational constraints common to nonprofit organizations, including volunteer availability to conduct the exam and the need to maintain fairness with alternate question papers.

Our primary objective is to support students in continuously developing their Tamil language proficiency. While we recognize that unavoidable circumstances may occasionally prevent attendance, such instances are considered on a case-by-case basis. However, we strongly advise against missing exams for non-essential reasons.

Student evaluations are based on multiple factors, including attendance, homework completion, and performance in trimester exams. Missing a single trimester exam will result in a minor reduction in the overall grade percentage. Nevertheless, students who maintain regular attendance, complete assignments, and perform well in the remaining two trimesters will experience no significant impact on their final grade or academic progression.

Grade / Progression Criteria

• Class Attendance : 25%

• Home Work : 25%

• 1st Trimester Marks : 15%

• 2nd Trimester Marks : 15%

• 3rd Trimester Marks : 20%
